Friday feeling and a drive inland to Säfstaholm Castle in Vingåker (otherwise known for it’s factory outlet). We were shown around the castle, initially built in 1666, and got intrigued by stories of Trolle-Bonde, who resided here back in the 1800’s.

The castle is mid-renovation and they plan on re-opening to the public in 2019. We look forward to admiring the lovely ceilings again, seeing Trolle-Bonde’s art collection and hearing more about what went down here over the years – perhaps with an audio guide in place 😉
